SHABIR KARIM BLACKBURN

30 Jun

Hello and welcome to my very first blog.

I am not a serial blogger but something very strange inspired me to write this blog.

Not regarding myself but a very good friend of mine from Blackburn by the name of Mohammed Shabir Karim aka Shabir Karim aka Shab Karim.

Shab has been accused of conspiracy or defraud HMRC. An allegation which in my opinion is complete lies. I am certain the courts will also see this side in due course.

Anyway, the purpose of this blog is to mention facts about Shab, his demeanor, his personailty, his character and his association to other persons.

I have personally know Shab since 1991. That time he has just left college and had started working in the family business Tony & Sons. His parents were Jeweller in Preston Lancashire.

I dont really know much about his Parents but as far as I am aware other traders had always held Tony (Shabs Dad) in high esteem. Very respected amongst the trade.

During this time Shab assisted in the business helping secure more customers and making the business even more prosperous.

Shab always assisted me and many others like me who were new to the trade. He would always point us in the right direction if we needed suppliers or supplies. Never once would he refuse me or many others like me if we ever called on favours from him.

Maybe this is the reason he is so highly respected within the Jewellery trade.

I vividly remember in 1998 when he was subjected to a vicious armed robbery, in which he lost over £400,000 (not all his wealth but also other suppliers), he was the one who was showing strength and courage to his parents who were devastated for him. This was a uninsured robbery.

Even during this period I can recall him saying not one of the suppliers pressurised him for payment knowing the situation.

The reason he was not hassled for outstanding payment was because suppliers knew that he is a honest trader who once on his feet again would settle all debts.

The sometime in Early 1999 saw the early demise of both his parents. They were brutally murdered during a armed robbery within the business in Preston. Both murderers were caught and jailed with lengthly sentences.

A very difficult period which one cannot imagine. Yet during this period the whole family stuck together and saw the prosecution at court through.

Shab as I know him is a friend to all his friends. He is a friend that most people wish for. One whom most of his friends can relate too. One who will listen to problems to all his friends. One who has time for all the people he has a association to.

Shab as a person is one of the most helpful in the trade I know. Normally people are reluctant to give you names of Suppliers etc, not Shab. Infact he would happily accompany traders to suppliers often introducing them. He is a person who has often helped the police when it has come to tracing stolen jewellery.

40 years old, working in the trade all his working life and never once been in any form of trouble.

Infact it springs to my mind that he is also a very charitable person who puts others in front of his own needs. Holds regular charity collections and supports many orphanages around the world.

Now the real reason for writing all this here.

Today Shab is in a difficult position. He has been accused by HMRC for conspiracy to cheat the revenue. An allegation which he strongly denies.

This is an ongoing trial in which I am sure he will be found not guilty. He is not the sort of person to ever get involved in any form of Fraud. I know him as a person and I know its not the sort of thing he would do.

Allegedly he has conspired with 4 others to cheat the revenue. All of them deny the allegation.

At a time like this I wish to show my support to my life long friend. I am with you mate. I know you are innocent and hopefully the courts will also recognise this. You know you are innocent. I know you are innocent. There is hundreds of us who are making special prayers for you who also know you are innocent. Time will show mate.

They say that you can normally tell how good or evil a person is by looking at his close and distant family. You get on with all your family. Everyone loves you. Everyone wants you to come through this.

Keep your chin up pal. You will get through this like you have done with other tragic incidents in your life. Truth will prevail.

Look Shab, if you were not a nice person you would not receive between 30 to 60 texts daily wishing you all the best in court.

Dont let that eveil family put your down Every dog has his day.

Please show your support for Shab and his family by posting comments. Truth over Lies.

Mike

Like the blog says: Every dog had its day and whoever this evil uncle is, I am 100% sure he won’t even sleep in peace once he’s in his grave. For every single thing he has done in this life, he will pay for it either in this life or the hereafter.

Shab: You will be orate. In a few weeks Uncle Prick won’t have anything to point his finger out at u or ur family. His days are numbered literally.

    Shab,

Wishing you all the best at your trial. I have known you for over 15 years now and always found you to be honest and straightforward.

I really appreciate all the help you have given me in dealing with the chinese suppliers after I was unable to make payment to them.

Just as that was a tough time for me and you helped me through it, I hope your strenght and honesty helps you through this.

HMRC need to look closer in their own closet to find the real culprits.

Wish you all the best mate.

Known this family for a long time and done some limited business with Shab. Always found him to be a nice honest chap, not the sort to commit any fraud. Infact I remember once I overpaid him by £100 and he actually rang me back to tell me that I had overpaid him.

HMRC, I am certain you have got this wrong as I can’t see Shab commiting any form of fraud.

All the best with your court trial.

    Hi,

Dont know Shabir Karim but I read up a little on the internet about the murder of his parents etc.

Found this link which shows about his parents brutal murder: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/299851.stm

This followed on to the following link:
    http://www.lep.co.uk/news/local/ten-years-on-from-a-double-murder-that-shocked-the-city-1-89394

How anyone can forgive his parents murderers is beyond me.

Anyway Mr Karim, I wish you all the best with your Trial and may you walk away from these allegations. I too have had an allegation against me in the past and was found not guilty so can sympathise with what you are going through. A horrible time not just for yourself but all those close to you and around you. You seem like a nice fair man and I wish you all the best.

    Mike,

Like you, I have known Shab all my working life. A good lad like you said. Always been and continues to be a good friend.

I know you are stressed at the moment with all this court business. Rest assured, the Jury will prove that HMRC have got the wrong group of men here. Hope Kamy, Jimmy, Ray B and Ray M are all ok too. You are all a nice bunch of people and dont deserve this in your life.

If you need anything doing othen please let me know

  13. Shaun Winters July 21, 2012 at 3:01 pm #

To finish off, If you need anything doing work related then just llet me know mate. I always have time for you just as you have for others around you.

    All the best mate.

    Shab,

Is this to with the Italian dude who screwed Kamy over? Kammy was telling me about him a few years ago. Why have you lot ended up in court over it. I hope Revenue are not blaming you guys for it!

I wish you all the best lads. I dont know the others but certainly you & Kam surely could not do anything like this.

Mike, Is this the guy who use to have a stall at Park Hall with his Dad?

Always seemed like a nice lad and ready to help anyone. I hope its not him in trouble cause he was a nice fair lad.

I am sure he has helped the Police a few times with regards to stolen jewellery that had been offered for sale to them. Some one who does not buy stolen jewellery surely does not commit VAT fraud.

This is the same Shab we are talking about. I know he has assisted the Police many times over his working career, been a witness a few times helping the Police.
I saw him yesterday and although nervous with this experience seems ok with it. I hope this ends for him soon as he is a genuine bloke.

    Message for Shab:

Chin up mate. You have done nothing wrong and all being well you will walk from the court. The prosecution dont know you as a person, I do. They only go on what they think is factual based on papers – we know REAL life does not work like that.

In my opinion all you have done for most of your life is help people. I have seen it myself mate. The orphanages you support, the earthquake appeal, the african children, I have witnessed how you are prepared to put yourself out for others.

Maybe HMRC need to take a leaf out of your book and start helping genuine people in need.

Stay strong throughout. I know its an ordeal for you, your family, your friends and also the families abroad who rely on your support for basic rations.

I am certain the jury will see the real side of you and not the side that the prosecution have tried to paint of you.

Shab, someone just told me about your ordeal and I Googled it to find this.
Look mate, you are a nice chap who us always thoughtful of others.
I am sure the Judge will see you are a honest chap who is not involved in any type of fraud.
Maybe your trusting nature has landed you in this bother.
Stay positive and your good nature will see you thorough this ordeal.
Wish you all the best Shab

    Shab,

A trying time in your life.

You will come through it pal. You are not the type who knowingly gets involved in any thing illegal. I am certain Judge & Jury will see it.

    All the best pal.

    Shab,

Stay strong mate. Look you know that all the factors are circumstantial. You were not and never have been involved in any form of fraud. If you had someone close to you would have known.

You are a nice guy who wil soon be acquitted by the Jury.

    Stay strong mate.

    Danny
